Before retiring earlier this year, Leo Franklin was the Director of EEO for the Railroad Retirement System.He was instrumental in arranging The Reverend Jesse Jackson's appearance at FDR XII in Chicago several years ago.Now that he is retired, Leo is realizing his dream to assist disadvantaged people.He looked around Chicago until he found a space where he could set up the ClothesLink Association.During the month of October, collaboration with the Chicago Federal Executive Board in Chicago made it possible for Leo to collect 6000 items of clean clothing, shoes and accessories in good condition for people on welfare to use when they interviewed for jobs and to wear to work.The items were distributed among 14 local charities.In addition, his organization provides consulting, organizes clothing drives and operates a clothes bank.If you would like more information about the ClothesLink Association you can e-mail Leo at : clozlink@aol.com.To support Leo's work with the disadvantaged and make a clothing contribution to the ClothesLink Association send your boxes and packages to :.
