    Leith Franklin Leith Franklin graduated from the University of South Australia first with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry and Microbiology and then with Honours in Chemical Technology. His honours project was a study of "The Chemical and Physical properties causing Stickiness in Dried Vine Fruit". Leith built upon his educational qualifications with short term employment in a number of food and chemical industries before taking the opportunity to complete Microbiological testing in-house for a small Complementary Medicine manufacturer in Australia's Barossa Valley.

    Leith returned to the wine industry working in a number of roles both within Laboratories and on Quality and Environmental Management in Australia. Leith became aware of ETS Laboratories through his role as the Statistical Secretary for the Interwinery Analysis Group. Leith works at ETS in a variety of analytical and quality systems support roles. He recently spearheaded the redevelopment of a robotic workstation, and is currently responsible for evaluating the feasibility of adapting new or existing methodologies to new analyses.

    Leith is relishing the opportunity to live 'the other way up,' and when he is not working may be found exploring horizons near and far, typically either by foot or bicycle.

    Leith FranklinLeith Franklin graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry and Microbiology in 1995.He then went on to achieve Honours in Chemical Technology though study into the Chemical and Physical properties causing Stickiness in Dried Vine fruit.After graduating Leith spent several years gaining experience in microbiology and Chemical analysis through Contract work with Christian Hansen Ltd., the Angas Park Fruit Company and Chemical and Physical testing through Adelaide Brighton Cement Ltd.Leith's interest in wine analysis was stimulated by a short employment with Southcorp Wines at Nuriootpa, which he left for the role of Microbiologist with Brauer Natural Medicine in the Barossa Valley. Eventually the lure of the wine industry became too great and Leith took up a position as Laboratory Technician with the Hardy Wine Company at Berri Estates later moving to the role of Laboratory Supervisor at the HWC's Renmano Winery.In August 2004 Leith took up the position of Quality Assurance Manager at the companies Stanley Winery in Buronga.His role includes responsibility for the sites quality, HACCP and environmental management systems and laboratory operations.
