Daviess Community Hospital recently announced that Leigh Franklin , RN , Hospice Manager , was elected as Southern Regional Representative to the Indiana Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.Ms. Franklin represents members of the Indiana Hospice and Palliative Care Organization who live in Indiana in the region located south from Indianapolis to the state line.She will be the voice of hospice for southern Indiana and will stay informed on current state and federal legislation concerning hospice issues.
The Indiana Hospice and Palliative Care organization was established in 1979.It is a statewide , not-for-profit organization supported by members , education events , grants and donations from supportive organizations and individuals.The group's mission is to educate people about end-of-life choices and to educate and support the terminally ill and their loved ones on end-of-life issues.* * * # # # * * *
