Paul Frank (Senior Technology Consultant)
Paul Frank, a senior technology consultant, is responsible for providing technology solutions to our clients; his distinct experience in routers, switches, cabling technologies, storage products, as well as many peripherals gained him a unique position at Infoskill in leading technology initiatives including grooming junior members of the team.
Paul has over ten years of experience in the information systems sector, with a heavy focus on operating systems and network technologies. He has been involved with LAN technologies since the early days of his career and maintained various network operating systems including Novell and Windows. He provided technical support to both external and internal users, organized in-house training sessions, and provided help desk and network administration during different parts of his career.
Paul has also been involved in many migration projects in cross-platforms such as Novell to Windows, GroupWise to Exchange, and upgrades in many levels of Windows server operating systems from Windows 3.51 to Windows 2003 servers.
Paul excels in reading bits and bytes, logs, traces and making sense of forensic data which is required for both understanding attack footprints in the early stages as well as tracking down and preventing the attacks. He is widely respected for his expertise with networks, firewalls, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention systems.
Before joining Infoskill, Paul worked in different continents, different countries that require excellent troubleshooting skills where vendor support is either non-existent or too expensive to acquire due to the remote locations he has worked in. Paul has also worked in management positions where he has worked with senior management as well as the user community and even junior technical team members; this enabled Paul to have open communication channels with all levels of the organization with no difficulty.
Paul has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, with Honors, and a M.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Paul has many designations including Cisco Certified Network Engineering (CCNA), Microsoft Certified System Administration (MCSA) on Windows servers, and also holds certificates on Exchange, Microsoft Office suite of products, and Certified Novell Network Administration designation.
