Alex Fraioli has been dancing since the age of two.
She has been dancing with Main Street Dance under the direction of Mrs. Beth Fagan since 2003, where she was a senior competition member of the Southeast Dance Alliance for four years.
Alex has received many honors including scholarships to the Joffrey Ballet School, Rockette Dance Intensive, and Edge Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
As a result of her solo performances, Alex has held many regional and national titles with numerous competitions.
She was selected through audition, interview, and solo performance to represent the Louisiana Association of Dance Masters, Chapter Six, as their Miss Dance of Louisiana 2007.
Her dedication and passion for dance also helped to earn her the coveted national title of Miss Dance America for the Kids Artistic Revue competition in 2006.
She gained her most cherished honors, however, through the Southeast Dance Alliance when she was selected as the SEDA's "Most Dedicated" (2005) and received the SEDA Medal of Excellence (2007).
Alex continues to further her dance education through an intense schedule of weekly classes, as well as workshops across the southern region.
Because of her technical abilities and a natural aptitude for ballet, she has been selected as an apprentice for the 2008 season of Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet, directed by Ms. Dianna Jones and Ms. Tamu Wilson.
Some of her featured roles have included several appearances in The Nutcracker, including Snowflake, Soldier Doll soloist, and Dew Drop Fairy soloist.
Alex attended St. Joseph's Academy High School in Baton Rouge, where she was a member of the Catholic High School Bruinettes Dance Team for 2 years.
With a devoted love of children and instruction, Alex is currently a student at Louisiana State University earning her degree in Elementary Education.
