According to Richard Foxwell, chief executive of PSNTO, securing the NVQ is proof that Richard has the skills and knowledge to undertake his role as a negotiator.
He said: "We are keen to see more agents take the workplace-based NVQ assessments.Based on nationally-recognised standards of competence they are ideal for the practical world of estate agency.
"I congratulate Richard, who is one of a growing number of agents who demonstrate their commitment to professional development by undertaking training.
"We welcome government moves to give vocational education and training parity of esteem with academic qualifications," he added.
Speaking at the event, Melfyn Williams, president-elect of the NAEA and head of the NAEA education and training committee said: "We are encouraging more and more agents to undertake training as part of our drive to build the credibility of estate agents in the eyes of the consumer."
Richard Foxwell also announced the forthcoming launch of a new, and simplified, Modern Apprenticeship framework which provides a structured learning pathway and receives government funding for trainees under the age of 25.
