William Ford - Visiting Lecturer
...
William Ford
Tutor in Training.
PhD and B.A. (Hons), Durham; M.St.
Oxford
William is the author of God Pharaoh and Moses : Explaining the Lord's Actions in the Exodus Plagues Narratives (Milton Keynes: Paternoster, 2007).
William teaches Hebrew language, Hermeneutics, Preaching and other Old Testament areas.
As well as his studies and teaching in theology, he has also done short-term mission work with the London City Mission, in Japan, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
He has a concern to improve biblical literacy in the church and has an interest in how the Old Testament can be read well in the modern (or postmodern) world, especially the more theologically 'difficult' passages.
He has been called the 'weirdest tutor in college' (as a compliment!) and is known for (amongst other things) appearing in strange costumes in lessons…
