DISCUSSING ISSUES: Port Huron teacher Trish Ford talks with other teachers and administrators about problems in the school district at a meeting last month in the district's administrative office.

Tricia Ford, a teacher at Port Huron High School and coach of the Blue Water All-Stars, brought some of her current and former students to the game.They got a chance, she said, to see what daily activity is like in a wheelchair.

"You see people in wheelchairs, but you never put yourself in their shoes," Ford said.
