The city is outlining two 10-kilometer routes and one 5-kilometer route, said Tricia Ford, executive director of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce.
Walkers and joggers will be able to choose routes through any of Mountain Brook's three business "villages" or through Jemison Park, a linear park popular for walking, jogging and bird-watching.
The program is possible because Mountain Brook has spent more than a decade laying sidewalks through the city.Every bit of all three routes has sidewalks, Ford said.
She said she has not yet approached businesses about providing the stamps for walkers, but she is looking for something open every day of the week and probably those that sell drinks, food or other things walkers would want.
