John M. Flynn, age 67, of Hamilton, passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital, on Thursday, January 16, 2003, at 6:05 p.m.He was born in Hamilton on April 21, 1935, the son of Ernest and Marie (Dees) Flynn.John was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the United States Navy from 1952 to 1953 and was the owner/operator of J.M. Flynn, Inc. for the last 40 years.A very active member of the Princeton Pike Church of God, where he was an elder, council member, Sunday School and Youth Teacher and Superintendent and was a friend to all at church.On November 28, 1953, in Hamilton, he was married to Mary Hillen.

His love and passion for the Lord still fans the flame of desire for Jesus among those who knew him best.To know him was to be introduced to the nearness and reality of the person of Jesus Christ.His earnest and heartfelt mission in life, to be with Jesus, has finally been realized.Praise the Lord!

He is a retired master chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy, working in the nuclear power field for 24 years with the government before coming to H. Pearce Co.

Among his awards, Flynn earned the Eastern Membership Award for Fundraising from the American Diabetes Association and he received two Navy achievement medals for superior performance in service to his country.

He is married and has a son in college in Colorado.
