Dr. Floch has been trained in Laparoscopic Gastric Banding by the Inamed Company and performs both the Lap-Band® and Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgeries.He is currently an attending surgeon at Norwalk Hospital and St. Vincent's Medical Center and is also a trauma surgeon at Norwalk Hospital.

Dr. Floch has been an instructor in the Yale University/Norwalk Hospital Surgical P.A. teaching program and received the Malcom S. Beinfield Award for Teaching Excellence in the Yale/Norwalk Surgical P.A. teaching program for the years 1996, 1998, 2001 and 2003.He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.He is also a member of the American Medical Association, Fairfield County Medical Society, the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
