Mark Fletcher

Mark leads the water business in Arup for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is the Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor to Bradford University in Engineering Design for Sustainable Development since 2003. He has been actively involved in developing arts, engineering and the environment on water and flood-related projects and has incorporated art into projects for a number of years.

Mark is a Director and leads the Integrated Catchment Management Business. He is the Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Engineering Design for Sustainable Development at Bradford University and is on the Industrial Advisory Board for Environmental Engineering at Imperial College.

He has a consultancy background in the water and environmental sectors with particular experience in integrated catchment management, sustainable flood management, reservoir safety and geotechnics. He has provided technical advice to the European Union on trans-national catchment management projects in Western Europe. He has worked on major flood and reservoir projects both nationally and internationally in Cyprus, Greece, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
