"Bloomington is very fortunate, both in terms of the supply of teachers and supply of administrators," said Bloomington High School South principal Mark Fletcher, a 1978 graduate of South who was an assistant principal at Southport before returning to the MCCSC ranks in 1999.
"It's a very nice place to live, a great and strong community, and we have all these available links with IU.That gives you a fighting chance to get and retain good people," he said.

South principal Fletcher certainly feels that way.
"No question, the job is a challenge," he said."I think it's more a way of life.If you enjoy the challenges, and I'm crazy enough to, then you couldn't find anything better. But you'd better come in ready to meet those challenges every day."
