  SFFA President Mark Fletcher said, "Lanarkshire has put on a great 'one day' tournament that has strengthened and boulstered this year's league."He continued, "Along with Carluke's 'Superbowl Sunday' event both Carluke and Lanarkshire are giving the senoir league annual focal points with a strong foundation that can be build on for the furture of this sport.".

  The National Programme is pleased to announce that Glasgow Tigers Coach Mark Fletcher has been appointed Head Coach of the Scotland Senior Flag Squad.
  
  Mark was appointed to the post in September, but due to unforeseen bureaucracy between the NP and the SFFA this offer was rescinded.I am glad to say the said bureaucracy has now been cleared up and Mark has thankfully agreed to take up the post.
  
  I believe Mark is by far the best coach for the job and will carry on the approach of fair, competitive and passionate football.
  
  I would ask that Mark be given time to organise the squad considering the lack of movement on this front in the last few months.Team Scotland have been invited to an international tournament in England to face the hosts, Wales, Ireland and a USA Air Force Team.This tournament is in February, which may be too early for the squad to prepare and we may need to sit this one out.Whatever decision Mark makes, I'm sure will be for the best of the squad.
  
  Steven Maxwell has agreed to continue as Scotland Manager for 6 months to help Mark in that department.
