Al Fleming entered Ursuline High School from Saint Edward School.While a student at Ursuline, he was a member of the football and tennis teams from 1962 through the 1965 seasons.Al was the Ohio High School Athletic Association state regional champion in tennis.He also earned 2nd Team All-City Honors in football.During Al's senior season, the football team was the City Series Champions and the tennis team was regional champs.
Al received an athletic scholarship to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he played under legendary coach Bo Schembechler.He graduated from Youngstown State University with his bachelor's degree and from the University of Akron Law School.Following graduation, he worked as an attorney at McLaughlin, DiBlasio and Harshman and later at the Cafaro Company.Since 1986, Al has had a private practice in downtown Youngstown.
He is married to the former Suzanne Morrison, also a member of the Class of 1965.They reside on the north side of Youngstown and have two children: Atty.Kyra M. Fleming (Ursuline Class of 1985) and Alfred J. Fleming, M.D. (Ursuline Class of 1995)
