CDPHP MEDICAL DIRECTOR JOINS AMERICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICAN EXECUTIVES' WEB SITE AS MANAGED CARE EXPERT
ALBANY, N.Y. , Mar. 11, 2004 , Capital District Physicians' Health Plan, Inc. (CDPHP), an Albany-based, nationally-recognized health plan celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, announces Medical Director Terrence Flannery, MD, MSMM, CPE, will serve as one of two experts for an Internet network for managed care physicians sponsored by the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE).Dr. Flannery will provide managed care information to physician executives through online discussions and E-mail inquiries.

Dr. Flannery joined CDPHP as a medical director in May 2000.He is a board-certified family practitioner and previously held medical director positions at Kaiser Permanente and WellCare of New York.Additionally, he has served as assistant commissioner for clinical affairs for the New York State Department of Correctional Services.
Dr. Flannery holds a Master of Science degree in medical administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.He holds a medical degree from Chicago Medical School and a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.Dr. Flannery completed post-graduate medical training in Cooperstown, N.Y., and Philadelphia.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the New York Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Physician Executives.As a medical director for CPDHP, Dr. Flannery's responsibilities include improving quality and assuring appropriate resource use for CDPHP members.He is closely involved in the analysis of practice information to help practitioners understand their systems of care, and provides medical leadership for the CDPHP transplant coordination team.
