    Robert C. Fishman is a partner with Berkes Crane Robinson & Seal LLP, and formerly was affiliated with Miller & Fishman (Los Angeles) and Cooper, Epstein & Hurewitz (Beverly Hills).He has practiced for over twenty five years, and handles both litigation and transactional matters.He represents businesses and professional clients within a broad range of practice areas, including business, entertainment, mental health, real estate, bankruptcy and insurance defense.He has handled numerous trials, arbitrations, mediations and administrative proceedings, and has also briefed and argued several cases at the appellate level.

    Mr. Fishman graduated from Vassar College in 1976 with an A.B. degree in psychology and political science, and from Boston University School of Law in 1979.He is admitted to the State Bars of California, New York and Massachusetts, and to all of the United States District Courts in California.He was lead counsel in Dumas v. RTL, Inc. (In re EPI Products USA, Inc .), 162 B.R. 1 (1993), in which the Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California ruled in his favor on a significant statute of limitations issue.In 1995, the Ninth Circuit cited the Dumas decision with approval, in Mosier v. Kroger Co. (In re IRFM, Inc .), 65 F.3d 778 and in Mitchell v. Steinbrugge (In re Hanna ), 72 F.3d 114.

    Mr. Fishman is a frequent lecturer on current issues in forensic psychology.He has spoken before several annual conventions of the California Psychological Association, and to various educational institutions and professional organizations.He currently serves on the Advisory Board, and as Chief Financial Officer, of Rose City Counseling Center, a California non-profit corporation, which operates a low-fee counseling center in Pasadena.He has also served as President/Chairman of the Board of Directors of Open Paths Foundation, a low-fee counseling center in Culver City.
