Principle Impact Strategies President Dana Finch, also located in Wichita Falls, coaches business people to "connect and communicate."She uses copyrighted techniques that she created to help different age groups connect successfully with one another.

Over the past decade, her business (at www.danafinch.com) has grown from a part-time venture to a full-time career with 25 ongoing clients and speaking engagements and clients nationwide.

One new program Finch created deals specifically with communication principles that work with difficult parents.The help is directed at schools, counselors, Child Protective Services workers and people who work with the aging.

"The one thing people always say is, ‘Oh my goodness, now I understand why So-and-so reacted the way they did.' People say, ‘I always understood myself.Now I understand that I communicate out of my own age bias and personality style.Now I see how to serve it up from their learning style and generation bias,' " Finch said.

Unlike a typical psychological counseling session, a life coach session needn't be face to face to work with his client.Telephone consultation is practical and often preferable.That expands the boundaries of potential clients for the life coach and the life coach choices for clients.

Finch turned to California-based Jackie Nagel's "Synnovatia," a business coaching firm at www.synnovatia.com, when she needed help expanding her business and earning her own certification.

"Working with Generations in the Workplace," a seminar by Dana Finch, owner of Principle Impact Strategies, is set from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the Secret Garden Tea Room.Finch will speak about blending generational differences in our work and sales force to cut waste, create innovation and increase revenue.

Dana Finch, president of Principle Impact Strategies for seven years, will never forget her 15 years of teaching satisfaction in elementary schools.

But she's still teaching - just a different audience.
