    Rev Paul Filmer

Rev Paul Filmer is Chaplain to the Medway campus.

Paul is also the Chaplain to the three Kent campuses of the University College for the Creative Arts. He has come full circle, being born in the Medway Towns, having worked in Chatham Dockyard before its closure in the early 1980s. Originally he trained as an electrician before moving on to be a design draughtsman and apprentice instructor, then an industrial instructor, and most recently a senior training officer.

Since his graduation from theological college in 1997 he has worked in parish ministry as the vicar of a group of five rural churches in east Kent.

Paul enjoys his food (too much), particularly with an international flavour. His interests include digital photography, playing with Apple computers, reading - particularly historical fiction, and watching anything on Discovery Channel. His sense of humour can be summed up in one word - Blackadder!

With four campuses to visit each week Paul sees himself as the virtual Chaplain, being available throughout the week by e-mail, text, mobile phone and instant messaging.
