Spearheading this move is Karen Ferguson , Craft Development Officer with the Louth Co..Enterprise Board and the Louth Craft Project.The Louth Craft Project , whose members are drawn from throughout the county , held their first meeting in Dundalk last week.

The idea of the craftworkers getting together is to give them an input into the project , so that we can work from the ground up , explains Karen.Among the initiatives planned are a handbook of all those involved in crafts in the area , a directory of professional craftmakers , an exhibition during the Maytime Festival , and a social evening so that those involved in crafts in the county can get to know each other.
