Alexandria Ferguson Named Communications Officer at North Carolina Mutual

DURHAM, N.C. (October 1, 2003) - Alexandria E. Ferguson has been named as the Communications Officer for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, the oldest and largest African American owned life insurance company in the United States.

In her capacity as the Communications Officer, Ferguson is charged with assisting in the development of a corporate public relations strategy, and the development of a comprehensive communications plan.Additionally, Ferguson is responsible for fostering positive relationships with various media outlets, and will serve as a media liaison for the corporation.

Ferguson, a native of Concord, N.C. is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising.

She is a member of the Advisory Council for the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Durham, a member of Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Black Journalist, volunteers for Walltown Children's Theater and a host of other organizations.
