Ethan Fener
Ethan Fener is associate director of application development at Partners HealthCare System. Founded in 1994 by Brigham & Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners is a large healthcare delivery network that includes six suburban hospitals in greater metropolitan Boston. Mr. Fener is responsible for the clinical database platform which services over 7,500 concurrent users. He is also the desktop product manager for 27,000 corporate PCs and is responsible for enterprise integration services.
Prior to Partners, Mr. Fener was an associate faculty member of Harvard Medical School and pioneered the development of digital imaging systems and PACS for physician use at Brigham & Women's Hospital in the late 1980's. In the early 80's, he developed an electronic medical record application at a venture-funded software startup.
Recently, Mr. Fener has consulted on hospital IT projects in China, India, United Arab Emirates and Columbia, South America. -
