JOLIET, Ill. - Doris Elaine Fende, 73, of Joliet, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice. She was born in Gary, Ind. and has lived in Joliet since 1959. She retired as an executive secretary for the Pullman Railroad Car Manufacturing Co. before moving to Joliet and later enjoyed working with Nancy Freeman in many capacities. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Joliet Women's Club, and an honorary member of Sagola Michigan Grace Presbyterian Church. Her special interests included Rebeccah Circle, Faith Lutheran Choir, Grace Presbyterian Bible Study Group, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, bridge playing, and above all, her loving friends and family.
