Director LaVerda Felton conducted the program, which was designed to teach students the art of the theatre from making props, sets and costumes to auditioning, rehearsing and acting. A visual arts teacher and a diction coach also participated.
Ms. Felton is a long-time children's theatre teacher and director from Storybook Theatre. She holds a master's degree in Theater Education from New York University. She taught our 2003 Children's Summer Theatre Camp and directed our wonderful holiday production, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. -

Camp instructor LaVerda Felton, who has a degree in children's theater education, taught the camp last summer and several students returned this year.
