   KINSTON - Charles "Charlie" Patrick Felton Jr., 77, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for the Stroud-Strother men's class at First Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and the quartermaster of the VFW Post No. 2771 for many years. His career as an accomplished sales representative spanned 50 years throughout Eastern North Carolina, most recently with Craven Electric. An avid golfer, he enjoyed life and was well-known for his positive attitude and optimistic spirit. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia.

   Survivors include his mother, Diana Bellamy of the home; two sisters, Danasha Uzzell of the home and Nakyia Taylor of Kinston; maternal grandparents, Carl and Evelyn Bellamy, both of Kinston; and paternal grandmother, Marilyn Koonce of Kinston.
