   Louisa Feltham, producer of Christ in the Centre and director of the SWORD drama group, comments: "As Christ in the Centrehas grown in popularity from year to year, the whole event is becoming more sophisticated. We are very grateful for the support of so many churches and individuals in and around Leicester and Leicestershire who have supported us financially."

   Louisa continues: "The costs of producing Christ in the Centre increase as the attending numbers increase, because we have to meet the growing technical and visual challenges, as well as funding the necessary precautions for traffic orders and safety; these all add to the costs of the overall production. This year, we have found ourselves wondering whether it will be possible to meet the increased costs from donations, but have been pleased that little by little the funding is coming in and our anxiety is dissolving away with the generosity shown to us." "Once again we have received many expressions of encouragement and appreciation and have been overwhelmed by the interest shown and the amount of prayer that has been offered on our behalf. This is only the fourth time that we have presented the Good Friday pageant, but we wonder whether this will become an annual part of the many cultural events for which Leicester is becoming famous."

   Louisa Feltham has plenty of faith, and she needed all of it in order to commit herself to the months of work this latest SWORD production entailed. She had to persuade the eighty-five people listed in the well-produced programme to give up a lot of their time in preparation and rehearsals.
