"I am very concerned - almost everyone involved in the system is concerned," said Ed Felsher, director of the Workforce Development Center at Pearl River Community College."If we have to endure the kind of cuts they are talking about, the substantial affect will be on the state's business and industry customers who have come to depend on us for training and resources."
Felsher, whose center alone received $1.2 million in state funds this year, said PRCC will train more than 9,000 employees this year for businesses and industries in six South Mississippi counties.
PRCC does workforce training for Western Container, Forrest General Hospital, Dickten & Masch and Kohler Industries, he said.
