   Jennifer Lagier Fellguth is a member of the Italian American Writers Association and the National Writers Union, Local 7. She has published poetry in four books and a variety of journals, anthologies, and e-zines throughout the U.S. and Italy. She teaches at Hartnell College and California State University, Monterey Bay.

   Jennifer Fellguth, a representative of the Hartnell Faculty Association as well as an instructor and librarian, assured the audience that steps have already been taken to improve the college. She said that the Academic Senate has already begun improving the course catalog, deleting courses that have not been offered in years, adding new courses, cleaning up descriptions of certificate and degree programs, and updating course outlines. Additionally, Fellguth said the Academic Senate has put together a shared governance committee that will work on student learning outcomes, and an assessment rubric is in the works that faculty can use to help assess how well learning objectives are met. Fellguth said the college faculty also put together a written philosophy of professional ethics. "We look forward to working with new leadership to make Hartnell a better institution that more effectively serves our community," Fellguth said.

Her work has been published in anthologies, journals and e-zines throughout the U.S. and Italy.
