GRAY, Tenn. -- Maxine Fellers, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at Johnson City Medical Center, Oct. 13, 2002, after a brief illness.
She was born on March 26, 1912, in Dickenson County, Va. She resided most of her life in Bristol Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Fellers; her parents, Creed Flattery and Emma Mullins Tipton; three brothers, Ralph, Cephas and Bill Tipton; and her first husband, Robert Wolfe.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Lee Wolfe Petty and husband Frank of Austin, Texas; one son, Robert Sherrell Wolfe and wife Marie of Fall Branch, Tenn.; one sister, Zelphia Tipton Salyer and husband Harry of Castlewood; five grandchildren, David Wolfe, Frank Wolfe and wife Regina of Austin, Michael Wolfe of Kingsport, Terry Wolfe Sturgill and fiancÈ, Chuck Harbin of Bristol Tennessee, and Sherry Wolfe Parker and husband, Keith of Church Hill, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Brandi Hopkins of Bristol Tennessee, and Brittany Parker of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff and caregivers at Anderson Health Care in Gray.
