Dr. A. Pierre Felix

A. Pierre Felix, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician, has joined Stanly Memorial Hospital (SMH) as a hospitalist physician.

Dr. Felix was previously a hospitalist in Chattanooga, Tenn. and Atlanta, Ga.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Felix specializes in the treatment of hospitalized patients.The hospitalists at SMH are employed by PrimeDoc.

A graduate of Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Dr. Felix completed his internal medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center, an affiliate of Tufts University, in Springfield, MA.He was chief resident during his final year there and was twice lauded for his teaching and academic excellence.

Upon completing his residency, Dr. Felix served as a clinical instructor at Emory University in Atlanta.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Felix graduated Magna Cum Laude from Benedict College in Columbia, SC, where he earned a chemistry degree, played varsity soccer and was a student representative to the college's board of trustees.

Dr. Felix is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
