On Saturday, May 11, Courtney Leigh Feldt, daughter of Lynn M. McDuffie and the granddaughter of Harvey T. McDuffie and the late Pegg B. McDuffie of Aberdeen, graduated magna cum laude from Peace College in Raleigh.

Courtney received a bachelor of arts in psychology, with a minor in English.
During her time at Peace College, Courtney was a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta National Honor Society in English.In addition, she held offices in both Psi Chi and Sigma Tau Delta.
She has accepted a position with Blue Ridge Center for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse in Asheville as a Community Employment Specialist.She will be working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness at Mountain House Psychosocial Rehab Program.
Two Local Students Inducted to Honor Society
Furman University recently held the 2001-02 induction ceremonies for new members of its chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
The oldest and largest honor society for college freshmen, Phi Eta Sigma was founded in 1923 to encourage and reward high scholastic attainment among freshmen or other first-year students in institutions of higher learning.
