...
Head coach Blake Feldt is facing the Bobcats for the third time, and Celina has outscored the Bearcats 93-6 in the last two meetings. The coach looks at the bigger picture when it comes to breaking the losing streak against Celina this year."The biggest deal in beating Celina would be taking the next step forward with our program," Feldt said.
...

...

...
"Seth reminds me a lot of Stuart, when Stuart was a sophomore," Feldt said.

...
"We've got to stop their throwing game," Feldt said.
...
"He is an excellent football player," Feldt said.
...
"They blitz him a bunch, they bring him off the edge, they bring him in the middle," Feldt said.
...
"The only thing I was disappointed in during the half was we scored, but then didn't play as well defensively," Feldt said."(Liberty Christian) drove down and scored, and we didn't look very good in that defensive series."But one poor defensive series in the course of a full night of action isn't too shabby."If you take that away, I was pleased with the scrimmage," Feldt said."We were concentrating on throwing the football during the controlled scrimmage, but during the live half, we were playing, we were doing whatever we needed to do to move the ball."Cooper Guthrie played well at free safety for Pilot Point, recording the one interception, while Feldt also noted Johnson, Reigel, Sam Duesman and Stuart Tilley.
...
"I think we're a little ahead of where we were (last year)," Feldt said."We'll find out Friday night."One week and counting for BearcatsBy Shawn Yorks Sports EditorDefense wins games, and for the Pilot Point Bearcats, defense is the most inexperienced group on the field this year. But defense was what showed the most improvement during Saturday's scrimmage at Gunter High School."I was pleased with how we played on both sides of the ball," said head coach Blake Feldt."We are farther along than last year, I don't think there's any doubt about that."The Bearcats scored three touchdowns to Gunter's one on Saturday, but that wasn't the point of the day in Feldt's eyes."The biggest thing really was to get a good workout, that's what is what it's all about," he said.
...
And it couldn't come soon enough for Pilot Point head coach Blake Feldt."I'm looking forward to seeing us scrimmage," Feldt said.

But as third-year Pilot Point head coach Blake Feldt barked them out, the Bearcat players knew exactly where they were supposed to line up and what play they were supposed to run.And with that, the 2007 high school football season got under way on a warm, muggy morning.Eighty-seven players donned the black and orange Monday morning in preparation for the upcoming season."I thought we had a great first morning," Feldt said after Monday's practice.
...
The season will be coach Blake Feldt's third season on the Pilot Point sidelines. He's anxious to see his team hit the field. "We're excited about getting started," Feldt said."We think we can have a good football team. But we have a lot of work to do by Aug. 31." The Bearcats finished third in District 9-3A last year behind district champion and state runner-up Celina and Prosper. Pilot Point begins this year looking to rely on several players that will be making their varsity debuts.Feldt expects as many as 11 sophomores to contribute on varsity this season.
