  Stuart discussed the rules regarding the size of docks.A recent inventory of the docks has been taken.It was agreed that dock owners that are not in compliance will be notified and a letter will be placed in the files.Any dock construction or rebuilding on these properties would be required to be in compliance with the rules.

  STUART FELDSTEIN has recently retired from a 40-year career as an attorney in Washington.His path took him from the Federal Communications Commission, to General Counsel of the National Cable Television Association, to senior partner in a communications law firm.Since his retirement he has taken on an increasing number of volunteer activities.He supervises a children's chess club and teaches beginning computer skills to adults at Woodrow Wilson Library.He is active at his Alexandria synagogue, currently serving as chairman of the budget committee.Stuart is also doing pro bono legal work for a non-profit consortium of international conflict resolution organizations. (Could there be a need for conflict resolution in Lake Barcroft?!) Stuart and his wife Ellen, the associate editor of the Lake Barcroft Newsletter, moved to the community in 1972 - just five weeks before Agnes took away the Lake.

  CONSIDERATION OF REAL ESTATE SIGN POLICY: Stuart discussed the recent situation regarding real estate signs in the community and summarized the discussion that took place at last months Board meeting.The history of the existing policy was reviewed.

  PROPOSED PROCEDURAL RULES FOR LBA RULES: Stuart raised the issue regarding recent ARC offenders and whether the Board should be empowered to impose a fine.He informed the Board that the POAA allowed up to a maximum fine of $900.He added that a fine once rendered but not paid becomes an assessment, which would allow beach privileges to be denied.
