Roger Feldman received an NEA Individual Artists Fellowship Grant in 1986. His site-specific sculpture has appeared in numerous solo exhibitions in the United States and England, including at the Los Angeles Municipal Gallery at Barnsdall Art Park. A permanent site-specific piece appears in the collection of the Washington State Arts Commission. Images of his work were recently featured in an article in the Los Angeles Times Magazine. He completed his B.A. in Art Education at the University of Washington in 1972, and his M.F.A. at Claremont Graduate University; Claremont, California in 1977. He currently teaches at Seattle Pacific University. -

Roger Feldman , Professor in the Art Department is teaching sculpture and is helping us establish a Graphic Design program. Roger returns to Seattle and SPU from Biola University , where he had taught as a member of their art faculty since 1989. Roger taught at SPU as an adjunct instructor in 1979 , 1980 , 1982 and 1983. He has also taught at Linfield College , Edmonds Community College , and Shoreline Community College. He received a B.A. in Art Education from the University of Washington in 1972 and an M.F.A. in Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University in 1977. He has also done graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary , Pasadena , California , and Regent College , Vancouver , BC. Roger is an internationally recognized sculptor who has participated in numerous one person and group exhibits. His work is interactive in character , which forces us to abandon our traditional role as a spectator and become an active participant with the art. Some of the old timers on the SPU faculty may remember the exhibitions he did in our Art Center Gallery in 1977 , 1983 , and 1984. Roger and his wife , Astrid , have a daughter , Kiresen , who is a junior at UCLA , and a son , Kyle , who is a senior in high school. Roger is an active and committed Christian.
