Celebrate Macau Corporation (CMC), a subsidiary of the Mimosa Group Hong Kong, was established by its Chairman, Mr Richard Feldman.Mr. Feldman owns and operates a number of successful restaurants and food concepts in Hong Kong and was the Chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong Association for over ten years.

Feldman seems unpredictable Macau booster, as one of the main movers of the Hong Kong party scene . He formerly headed the Lan Kwai Fong Association, representing Hong Kong's hottest nightclub district. But he's among hundreds who have chased the action across the Pearl River. Now, he's president of the Macau Fisherman's Wharf Association and, as head of Celebrate Macau Corporation, with a dozen bars and bistros, one of its main investors.

"Nobody realizes how huge this is," Feldman enthuses, guiding me through the world of wonders. There's a vast shopping center inside mock Tang Dynasty castle, Aqua Romanis (a Roman-themed shopping plaza with Centurion statues), a Roman Amphitheater, plus Dutch gables, Venice Canals, New Orleans bistros.

To some who spend time in Hong Kong's sophisticated food and beverage zone in Central, the name Richard Feldman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Association, is synonymous with building up the area's reputation.In the 15 years since his first job here, Canadian Mr Feldman has worked in food and beverage operations in the heart of the mushrooming Lan Kwai Fong neighbourhood, more recently establishing outlets in newer nearby streets of Soho.Immediately upon arrival, he knew this was the place he was meant to be, he says.

A lot of people have chosen to come together during hard economic times to let out a little steam and drown their sorrows , said Richard Feldman , the chairman of Lan Kwai Fong district's association.

Feldman , who owns four restaurants and bars , said there were at least two such parties by investment bankers in the past month.

There were about 20 who were fired and other colleagues came to make them feel better , he said.People were into denial and so they were partying like there is no tomorrow..
