From 2002 through February 2006, Mary served as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Santa Clara County, Conflicts unit, specializing in child support and contempt of court cases in family court.Prior to that, Mary worked at the Family Law Facilitator's office as a staff attorney, and as an associate attorney with a boutique civil litigation and bankruptcy law firm.

Board of Directors, "The Parenting Corner," a nonprofit offering parenting classes and support groups in Spanish and English District Commissioner, San Jos, Metro Police Activities League youth soccer program Board of Directors, First Unitarian Church of San Jos, Mary was born and raised in the Bay Area, and has lived in San Jos, for more than 20 years.Before entering law school, Mary spent 14 years as a technical writer, primarily in the field of semiconductor test equipment.Mary is married and has two teenage children who keep her busy and entertained.
