It's Behind You - Staging the Past with Popular Theatre led by Anna Farthing

Saturday 17 November 2007, at Bristol University, 10am to 5pm.Fee £35

An active and participatory workshop exploring the skills needed to create drama from popular history and relate history through popular drama.You will rootle through the theatrical attic in search of treasured traditional performance styles and discover those histories most likely to inspire dramatic interpretation.Practice backed by theory, suitable for those who work in educational, social, heritage, creative or community settings.

Anna Farthing is a freelance writer, director and performer currently researching how drama can aid the understanding of history.

They have been working with award-winning director, Anna Farthing, to bring to life, through sketches, song and dance, artefacts from the Bristol University Theatre Collection from the interwar period.
