    In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency ( SPA ) following the meeting , Dr. Fouad Al Farsy , Minister of Information , quoted King Fahd as also praising the 'distinguished efforts' being exerted by Crown Prince Abdullah , reflecting the 'concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the interests of the Arab and Islamic issues and confirmation of the unified Arab stance on vital issues'

    The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques commented on the 'serious setback impeding the peace process in the Middle East caused by Israel's actions and threats' and Israel's refusal to comply with the various efforts of the world community to bring about peace in the region.

    In this regard , King Fahd underscored the importance of unifying Arab efforts and ranks and called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility according to the relevant Nations resolutions.
