  Prairie North Health Region CEO David Fan presented plans for a new long-term health facility for Meadow Lake. The project will become a reality now that the provincial government has announced they will replace 13 such facilities in the province.
  
  “The process of replacing Northland has been going a lot quicker than what we thought it would,†he said, going on to explain the next steps in the process, including speaking with architectural consultants to come up with a design plan by November 2009, awarding tender by February or March 2010 and beginning construction by that spring.
  
  “A building of this magnitude will take us to September, October 2011 to complete.â€
  
  Fan outlined the projected costs for the project, based on a 2007 proposal.
