Carla Fair-Wright is a consultant, writer, and educator in the areas of object-oriented systems and methodology. With over twenty years in the IT profession, Carla Fair-Wright has been heavily involved in developing better computer applications for mainframe, mini, PC and LAN based systems. She is the owner of Optimal Consulting, a small consulting company specializing in Visual Studio solutions. Fair-Wright is a ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer, (CSQE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and holds a BS in Computer Science, Associate Degrees in Electronic Technology and Technical Management. She has also carried out graduate work in Software Engineering at University of Houston and served as a Technical Reviewer for ReviewNet Corporation, an internet-based provider of pre-employment testing for IT personnel. Carla is the chapter author of two books, Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering & Technology and Case Studies and Applications of Web Based Energy Information and Control Systems. She was featured in the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) magazine and Component Developer Magazine. She has appeared on Fox26 Morning News as a guest expert.
