The eagle-eyed among you will have spotted that Mike Ewins is no longer Honorary Secretary following his resignation at the December committee meeting.
Mike has donated a huge amount of time to the club during the last 4 years and his input will be greatly missed.

Finally, the club phone (07788 981061) is now back on, having been 'resuced' from Mike Ewins who is still 'residing' at Frenchay Hospital.

Club secretary Mike Ewins is currently in hospital, meaning the club phone is temporarily switched off.
We hope to have the line open again by the weekend.
The club would like to wish Mike a speedy recovery.

At the meeting, junior member Craig Clark was presented with the Keeling Cup (see picture), while the committee thanked secretary Mike Ewins for his sterling efforts over the past year.

Committee member Mike Ewins had better luck than most, landing a 17lb 4oz Mirror Carp from the New pond in September.
Mike tempted the fish on the lightest of tackle - 2lb line with a size 18 hook under a 3 no 4 clear waggler, using a single white maggot for bait.
Mike was fishing at PEG 22 just off the channel that joins the two ponds.
Mike also took a smaller Mirror, along with a decent Perch, a Chub and an Eel.

Mike Ewins was formally appointed Disabled Officer, and as a third Club Bailiff.

New committee member Mike Ewins recently landed a 3lb 5oz Perch from the new pond, close to the new joining channel.
There's no news yet regarding matches for the rest of the year.
It is hoped that one or two contests can be arranged in the near future.
Reports have emerged that local retailers have run out of membership cards.
This situation is being remedied as soon as possible - thank you for your patience.

The club committee would like to take this opportunity to welcome it's newest member - Mike Ewins from Yate - who has joined the committee and will act as the club's Disabled Access Officer.
Mike will regulate the advance booking of the disabled pegs which the club will install during the summer at the dam end of the island pond, where vehicle access is easiest.
Welcome aboard Mike and thanks for giving up some of your time in the name of KAA.
