Maxie Staedtler Ewinsgraduated from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, with a degree in history and journalism.She received her Masters degree in Library Science from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.She served as Head Librarian of Burlington's Fletcher Library, Vermont's largest public library, for more than twelve years.There she managed a million dollar budget and was instrumental in securing nationally renowned grant programs.Her travels have taken her around the globe and she speaks three languages fluently.She has planned, implemented and escorted a variety of tours for Vermont Public Radio, with particular emphasis on classical music and contemporary culture.
