The main article in the City Limits section is about David Ewing, an African American man that's having trouble becoming a member of the Belle Meade Country Club. The article is well written and brings up many interesting points. While I'm no country club member, I definitely think that Ewing is not getting a fair shake and I wish him the best in his quest to secure membership. On another note, look at the picture of Ewing on page 10. Good golly miss Molly! Hopefully the photographer caught Ewing in a bad moment or else this guy's picture has a scare factor right up there with the Burger King.

"It is well-known," Demonbreun wrote, "that Mr. Ewing has been attempting for some time to become the second African-American member of the exclusive Belle Meade Country Club where Mr. William Cochran Sr., the father of our neighbor William Cochran Jr., happens to have a membership and significant influence."
    ...
The announcement also stated that Ewing and the senior Cochran are "members of a board" at Montgomery Bell Academy.
    ...
Ewing did not attend MBA but is on an advisory board there.
    ...
Ewing today told NashvillePost.com he could not comment on the Demonbreun case because of the pending litigation. "I take my job as chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals very seriously," he said.
