AMG Oil Announces Appointment of A.L. Evans to the Board.
CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire / -- AMG Oil Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board : AMGO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Aurther (Lyn) Evans to its board of directors.Mr. Evans replaces Alex Guidi who resigned on September 19, 2000 but will continue to act as an advisor to the board.Mr. Evans brings to the board his wide exploration experience throughout the world, and a distinguished record of over 40 years of professional oil industry experience which included senior positions in several major oil exploration companies.

During the 1970's, Mr. Evans was International Exploration Manager of Home Oil Company Limited where he supervised Home Oil's projects in Oman, Indonesia, Guyana and the North Sea.Additionally, Mr. Evans was involved in Home Oil's success in discovering the giant Blina Field in Australia.
Following this position, Mr. Evans was Vice President of International Exploration for Ranger Oil Ltd.During this time, Mr. Evans directed the company's activities in China, Australia and Guyana and evaluated projects in Norway, Botswana, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia.While at Ranger Oil, Mr. Evans primary achievement was the involvement in the discovery of the Harriet Field, offshore Western Australia.
Immediately prior to establishing his own international constancy, Mr. Evans was Vice President of International Exploration for Petro-Canada Inc.At Petro-Canada, Mr. Evans was responsible for initiating new ventures, senior level negotiations and liaison with government in countries such as Columbia, Indonesia, China, Papua New Guinea and Spain.
