Virginia R. Evano
TORONTO - Virginia R. Evano, 78, of Toronto passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at the Valley Hospice Pallative Care Unit in Steubenville.She was born March 29, 1925, in Vinton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Noah Chasteen Sr. and Mattie Gadd Chasteen.Virginia is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto and the Toronto American Legion Post 86 Auxiliary.She is retired as an employee of the Toronto American Legion.Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Evano, who passed away in 1990, whom she married Jan. 15, 1977; two brothers, Robert and Noah Chasteen Jr.; and a sister, Bessie McGhee.She is survived by two sisters, Dolores Straka and husband, Paul of Toronto and Edna Pinnell of Follansbee, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews, including Shirley Roush of Wichita, Kan. Friends and family will be received for visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto (740) 537-1234 or (800) 588-1446.A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) Satur-day, March 13, at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating.Burial will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.Memorial contributions in memory of Virginia may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O.
