   At the July 24 Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education meeting , the Board named longtime teacher Albert Evangelista as Associate Principal of Ramapo High School. Evangelista , who was chosen from a field of eleven candidates , will report to new Principal , Mark C. DeMareo.
   ...
   Evangelista has worked in the district since his appointment as an industrial technology teacher at Indian Hills High School in 1972. He became head of the industrial education department in 1997 and for 12 years he has served as the cooperative industrial technical education coordinator. He has also served on the District Curriculum Council and the Teacher-Administration-Secretary Committee.
   
   Evangelista received a BA in industrial education and technology from Glassboro State College ( now Rowan University ) in 1972 and his master of education degree in educational administration and supervision from William Paterson University in 1984. He is certified by the State of New Jersey as a principal/supervisor.
   
   At the same meeting , the Board voted unanimously to renew Superintendent Paul Saxton's contract with the district. His contract , approved for the 2000-2001 school year at a salary of $143 , 150 , was extended for five years.
   
   Saxton was commended by the Board for his hard work and for having maintained high morale with the staff.
