Stuart joined the Insurance Group in June 2004 where he specialises in WorkCover and public liability personal injury litigation.
In that time he has acted for the Victorian WorkCover Authority, self-insurers and Victorian Government Departments.Presently he manages a large portfolio of 7 publicly listed companies who are self-insured for WorkCover purposes.
Stuart's WorkCover experience spans from the conduct of complex litigated/pre-litigated claims, breaches of the Occupational Health and Safety Act to s.138 recoveries under the Accident Compensation Act as well as specialist legal and claims management advice.
Having a detailed working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act and public liability regimes, Stuart has the flexibility to manage on behalf of his WorkCover client's both prosecutions and defences of s.138 recovery actions.
Stuart has worked hard to develop a practice that is able to accommodate each client's unique business requirements.With this in mind he has been a regular contributor to in-house seminars on claims management procedures, the training of claims officers and operation of the new Common Law provisions.
