SUFFOLK -- George E. "Puddy" Eure Sr., 78, of the 400 block of Henry St., died Dec. 2, 2002 at his residence.
A native of Suffolk, he was retired as an electrician after 30 years of service for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a Methodist and a member of VFW Post No. 2582. He was also a charter member of Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad and former volunteer firefighter for the city of Suffolk. Mr. Eure was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II.
The son of the late Thomas Eure and Carrie Benton Eure he was also predeceased by a son, Barry K. Eure and a sister, Earlene E. Evans.
