Ben Eudy

Ben Eudy has been involved in Christian Wilderness Ministry for 7 years as director of High Trek Adventures in Bryson City, NC.High Trek is focused on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ year-round through wilderness activities like backpacking, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, and caving.His Lovely wife Erin is both a trip leader and his assistant.He loves being outdoors and using God's creation to share the gospel with teens.The Lord reached out to him through a wilderness adventure ministry when he was a teen, and because of this he is strongly driven to reach out to others.He has been a member of CWLC for almost 3 years now and thoroughly enjoys the fellowship and the worship at the conferences.Through CWLC, he has made several friends and has been able to grow his own program through contacts made at CWLC.He hopes to be able to serve CWLC as it continues to grow.

Allie Welch and Ben Eudy were elected to the board for their first term and will add a lot of diversity and depth.

Ben moved to Waynesville, NC in 1994 to attend forestry school and work as a rock climbing guide.In 1997 he began to volunteer at a local Christian youth camp during the summer.In 1998 he started to develop a wilderness adventure camp in order to share his love of the outdoors and of Christ.The program became a year-round event and in 2001, Ben moved to Bryson City to work full time as the director until 2006.

The ideas for PEAK were conceived in 2005 around a table with three others.In 2006, PEAK launched.

Ben is certified in Wilderness First Responder, ACA Kayak instructor, Single Rope Technique, ACA Swift Water Rescue and is currently working towards ACA Swift Water Rescue Instructor and Wilderness EMT for fall of 2007.

Ben works as a youth leader in his local Church and plays electric guitar in a local Christian band.He also serves on the Board of Directors for Lost Souls Ministries, a skateboarding outreach ministry, and served on the Board of Directors for the Christian Wilderness Leaders Coalition and is president of the Bryson City chapter of the National Speleological Society.

Ben lives in Bryson City with his wife Erin who also works at PEAK as a trip leader.
