   Mike Etzkorn would like to become the local face promoting testicular cancer awareness to high school students. In many ways, he's already achieved that goal.
   
   Etzkorn, 26, the soccer coach at McCutcheon High School, was diagnosed with testicular cancer last November. Today he is in remission, although his treatments won't end until December -- and that's if everything goes as planned.
   
   "Lance Armstrong has done a lot," said Etzkorn, referring to the famous bicyclist who is a testicular cancer survivor. "But it should start at a grass-roots level."
   
   Etzkorn spoke at the 2005 Fall Soccer Festival on Sunday at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds, which was a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and for Etzkorn.
